Company

For K-Tech, 2010 is the tenth year of supplying high quality suspension parts to customers. For 2010 they have moved to larger premises to help them continue in this commitment, expanding their inventory and improving customer service. During the last ten years the company has evolved from a parts supplier to a manufacturer of their own branded products, which range from specialist tools to complete suspension units offering customers products to improve the handling of their motorcycle in a variety of disciplines.

Technology

K-Tech research, design and manufacture many of their own products from replacement springs to fork internals and specialist parts.
K-Tech offer servicing on forks, steering dampers and shock absorbers, giving old units a well needed overhaul whilst optimising the performance from original fitment and replacement items.
With the expertise they can offer revised spring rates and rebuilds specific to your requirements or simply replace as original.
K-Tech only use top quality replacement parts and components and are proud to be suppliers of Showa, Ohlins, Kayaba and WP suspension.
K-Tech's expertise has enabled them to offer you a solution to your exacting requirements or simply overhaul your existing setup to original specification.
World and British Championship teams regularly rely on K-Tech's trackside support and on site workshop facilities that have helped them win championships at all levels of road race and off road sport.

Product history

In 2001 they launched their first road fork SSK piston kit, this was followed two years later with the 25SSK race cartridge system, this product went on to win the 2003 and 2004 World Supersport Championship. In 2006 the SSRK piston kit was launched, this was designed for track use only for the rider on smaller budgets. 2007 saw the launch of the new improved 25SSK open cartridge system, this had many new features and has gone on to win many national championships over the last three years. 2008 saw the launch of their first race fork, designed around the success of the 25SSK cartridge system the fork was aimed at the privateer racer and has had many wins at high level racing including the Isle of Man TT races. 2008 also saw the development of their unique closed cartridge Direct Damping System for original equipment front forks, during that year it went on to win the British Supersport Championship and was released for general sale in 2009 winning the British Junior Superstock Championship, Supersport Championship and Superstock Championship along with race wins in the AMA and IDM Championships. 2010 sees another challenging year continuing to supply the customers with the same high quality parts and service they have been used to over the last ten years and also the development of new Direct Damping System race shock for road race use and has many unique designs you would expect from a high end suspension manufacturer.

20DDS
In 2009 K-Tech released their ultimate 20DDS "direct damping system" front fork cartridge kits, The unique new system is designed to fit all modern USD original equipment front forks, turning them into a fully closed damping system eliminating any contamination or atmospheric pressure affect in the system. This product was used by Steve Plater (HM Plant Honda) to win the British Supersport championship, Jamie Hamilton (Gearlink Kawasaki) to win the British Junior Superstock championship and Alistair Seeley (Relentless by TAS Suzuki) to win the British Superstock championship.

20SSK - 20MM FORK PISTON KIT
The 20SSK kit is a 20mm fork kit that has been designed 100% by our in house development team and manufactured entirely in the UK using only the very best engineering techniques and processes available. The 20SSK kit gives better damping control which in turn gives a safer more positive control of your motorcycle. This kit is designed to fit most O.E. forks with a 20mm cartridge system, which covers most modern sports and touring motorcycles. The kit also gives a much wider range of rebound adjustment due to the closer tolerance flow control metering orifice and needle giving you the ability to tune the suspension to any style of riding.

20SSRK - 20MM RACE FORK PISTON KIT
The 20SSRK kit has been designed for track, aimed at the rider / racer on a smaller budget this piston kit gives improved performance under hard braking and gives a much better mid corner feel, it it made from the highest grade material and processes of all of our performance products.

25SSK - 25MM SUPERSPORT & SUPERSTOCK RACE CARTRIDGE KIT
The 25SSK open cartridge damping system was designed 100% by our in house development team whilst working closely with British and World series supersport and superstock teams. Using the highest grade materials and processess the cartridges are made totally in the UK and consist of a 25mm diameter damping tube complimented with a 14mm diameter piston rod to give a greater displacement of fluid and to allow for better damping control. The cartridges are supplied with optional compression adjusters, three sets of optional rate springs and the necessary tools to change the springs.

FRONT SUSPENSION

KTR-2

The KTR-2 front fork has been developed to offer unsurpassed feel and confidence at the highest level of racing. Totally manufactured and designed in the UK the KTR-2 uses the highest grade materials and processes synonymous with K-Tech. The KTR-2 is the complete front fork solution and is supplied with three sets of fork springs and the necessary tools to change them.

KTR-3

2009 saw K-Tech release their new KTR-3 closed cartridge direct damping system front fork with cutting edge technology for the highest level of racing. The system consists of a 20mm displacement piston with a 31mm control piston to give ultimate feel. The system is pressurised by a coil spring for constant pressure at any temperature and is totally sealed within the fork for constant damping forces. The forks are supplied with three sets of springs and the necessary tools to change them.

REAR SUSPENSION

35DDS

New 35DDS "Direct Damping System" rear shock, being developed during the 2010 race season with many top teams at BSB, IDM and AMA championship levels. Lightweight materials with unique designs for high end race use.

K-Tech's vast range of branded springs are made from the highest quality Japanese silicone chrome wire which are pre-set and stress relieved giving an extended life span and a higher performance over O.E. All K-Tech fork springs are supplied polished for a smoother action along with the spring rate etched on the end for easy reference. They carry a large stock of direct replacement optional rate springs for modern sports and touring motorcycles for road or race use to suit all types of riding conditions.

Shock springs

K-Tech offer optional rate shock springs for most modern sports bikes. All K-Tech shock springs are pre-set, shot peened and supplied phosphated and powder coated giving them maximum protection against all riding elements. All springs are printed with part numbers for easy reference.
